Stately women: Clarice, Lydia, Stella

Meet Sarah Stately's (  )Mother and her two younger sisters

Clarice Stately- the 52 year old mother of Sarah, Lydia, and Stella. Clarice married Sarah’s father because he was well off, and made sure she became pregnant so he would feel entitled to stay with her. To cement herself to him, she had two more daughters by him. Clarice is cold and calculating, thinking of only herself, and her daughters. She has no love for her husband, despite him being a good and caring man, using him for his connections and his wealth. When she met Carl, she had an instant attraction to him, like many others before. She would make subtle advances to him, but Carl as dense to understand the meaning behind them.

Lydia Stately- 26 years old, adn Sarah’s younger sister. Lydia is independt, like her older sister Sarah, and wants to make a differecne in the world, so she volunteered at many charities, eventually getting a teaching job in third world countries. It goes well at first, however she and others are kidnapped, and held for ransom. She is eventually set free, however the experience made her a reclusive, adn she refuses to leave her parents house. She and Sarah are very close, and seeing the once worldly Lydia like this hurts her. Lydia and Clarice where the main care providers for Titus when he lived with them, and Titus called Lydia momma, not acknowledging Sarah as his mother for at least two years.

Stella Stately- 23 years old and the youngest sister to Sarah Stately and daughter to Clarice. Beneath Stella’s cute face is a manipulative interioir, however, unlike her older sisters, she isn’t as intelligent as them or her parents. She tries to find a man to take care of her, however she usually shoots herself in the foot, and ruins any chances of doing so. She and Sarah do not get along, as Sarah sees her as a nuisances and a drain of the economy, and Stella sees her as uptight and holier then though.
